Paul is a most gracious host-offering a ride to the ferry, advice on different adventures we might want to experience, a relaxed laid back warm support, and provided, a car as a curtesy, for our use around the island. The room met our needs to the max. The room was well stock with plenty of snacks. There is an inviting pool to sit back and relax but we were too busy exploring the island. Don’t miss going to Coqui Fire Cafe- the food is excellent. The location of Solimar is minutes from Isabel and Esperanza and in biking distance of two awesome beaches- Caracas and La Chiva. They provide beach chairs and towels for use at the beaches . The sliding gate gives you a sense of privacy when you enter or leave Solimar. We plan to return next year.

If u are looking for a great place that is very budget friendly this is the place. It is clean and the hosts are friendly. I have stayed all over the island and this is a great location.

Paul and Gwen were fabulous! Our room was large, very comfortable and clean. They have beach chairs and towels as well as sunscreen, bug spray and even books for whatever your adventures are for the day are! After a day of fun, we enjoyed relaxing around the pool watching the beautiful horses walking around the property! They made excellent recommendations for dining, shopping and the best beaches to visit. Added bonus is that they have "island cars" available to rent at their location. We look forward to visiting Vieques again!

We really appreciate the hospitality Paul and Gwen have shown us! We love visiting Vieques and will only stay at SoliMar! The updates to the guest studios are fantastic and the pool area is fantastic! Thanks again for another great stay! We will be back!

I have stayed at Solimar for the past 5 years and wouldn't stay anywhere else. The new addition of the studio and patio are a wonderful touch. We slept with the doors & windows open the entire stay to take advantage of the island breeze. Clean, comfortable, reasonably priced and 5 minutes from the most beautiful beaches. Gwen & Paul are very accommodating and friendly. They were flexible with our ever changing arrival time. What's even better is that they let you borrow a vehicle during your stay in Vieques! Skip the stress of renting a vehicle and just stay here! 5 minutes from Esperanza & Isabel II. Each unit is equipped with a kitchenette making it easy to prepare meals and keep beverages cold. All beach accessories are provided too- towels, chairs, umbrellas and cooler. Take an afternoon nap in the hammock, pick fresh mangoes, visit with the island horses and enjoy the sunset. Don't wait to visit Vieques and Solimar! I'm already looking forward to my next trip! Thanks for having us!
